The NHMQG is hopeful it can resume its retreats - in person - in 2021. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for details and more information.
The spring retreat is currently scheduled for April 29 - May 2, 2021, in Kennbunkport, ME.
The fall retreat is currently scheduled for September 30 - October 3, 2021, in West Dennis (Cape Cod), MA.
3. Local Sew-Along
In 2021, a number of Guild members are planning to begin working on Carolyn Friedlander's "The Local" quilt, which has nine different houses depicted on it. This a fun block-of-the-month pattern using paper piecing. Each house block has a story about it - for instance, Block 1 is about Carlos! While Carolyn's color palette is beautiful, feel free to play with fabric choices to make your Local neighborhood unique.
Participants will begin the SAL in January 2021, with the first house block to be presented at the February 16th Guild meeting; blocks will be completed monthly over the course of the year, with the final block completion scheduled for October. Contact the guild for further information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
4. Nebula Quilt-Along
Several Guild members are participating in the Tula Pink Nebula QAL, starting in January 2021. This beautiful quilt is made from True Colors fabric (Solids & HomeMade) by Tula Pink. The finished Quilt measures - 97" x 96" and requires a lot of interesting piecing. Watch tour website for the group's progress!
