April 2019 Show & Tell

Gail showed off a quilt top made from 10 inch squares chopped in half and quarters that she made the day her plane to Quiltcon was cancelled.  Good use of time!

Gail also showed off her first effort at a large bag with a mod 50's flamingo canvas fabric.  Group provided a lot of helpful feedback and support!

Laurie showed a very large, colorful scrap quilt.  Fun!

Laurie also showed two bags.  This was from a pattern with some waxed canvas.

For this pattern, the pattern had a zipper size that didn't exist, and some other issues, but it is really cute.  There are now metal-looking zippers made out of nylon that you can cut to size.

Sarah told us she has bought a new long-arm!

Carolanne showed two quilts done by Lisa T, who is now in Pennsylvania.   The first is in a Pantone color of the year -- love the way the design intersects in the middle!

Carolanne also showed off Quilter's Planner sampler quilt top done with Allison Glass fabric.  Great colors!

Suzy showed this film with Essex linens with a Moda pattern with 2.5 inch squares before sewing. Very pretty!

Suzie and Marie showed off a top made using a pattern that Marie developed and Suzy sewed, and were shown at MQX.  Very dramatic!

This is another pattern by Marie that Suzie helped with that had sparkles!

René showed a quilt from a kit with Allison Glass fabric.  It is a keeper!

Donna showed us this very dramatic piece in unusual colors, but a challenge to quilt.  Very pretty!

Donna also presented this very beautiful blue quilt with a network of flowery trellises.  Beautiful!

A very bright and colorful Gypsy Wife quilt by Simone!  Stripes done with lights and darks, and worked with it on the design wall.

Allison will be putting this polar bear into into a pillowcase and then moving on to a Tiger portrait.

Patti showed a very large cross quilt, wedding gift for her daughter with Rifle Paper and Cotton & Steel fabric!

Patti also showed this very adorable quilt for her grand-daughters' big girl bed!

Patti showed her freezer paper triangle piece from class with Tara Faughn and QuiltCon.

Michelle showed a quilt she a Valentine pattern for a friend.  Very optical and interesting!
