- Amanda identified the members whom we need photos of to add to the membership directory.
Events and Programming (Laurie K, and Susan H)
- The January meeting will be a modified Show and Tell. Members who wish to participate will bring in two quilts: one of the first they ever made, and a recent make. It will be interesting to see how members tastes and skills have changed over time!
- Susie and Chelsea introduced our 2026 Secret Quilt Buddies Quilt Swap program. Participants will agree to send 3 small gifts and make a quilt (large throw to queen size) for a secret buddy. They handed out an instruction sheet and a questionnaire for participants to fill out and bring to the January meeting. At that meeting, participants will select an anonymous envelope containing the questionnaire for their secret buddy. Buddies will be revealed and quilts exchanged at the November meeting!
Community Outreach (Carol and Robin)
- Carol reported that she recently delivered 6 quilts to Families in Transition.
- Carol gave Robin’s Pod Patrol quilt (pattern from Michelle C’s new book) to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter (NSKS) for their annual fundraising Gala.
- Carol gave another 3 quilts to the NSKS shelter and 4 more targeted to mothers and children staying there.
- So far in 2025, the guild has donated 41 pillowcases and 45 quilts.
Retreats (Sarah)
- Our next retreat will be held May 28-31, 2026 at The Fireside Inn in Portland, Maine. Sarah will send out pricing information and other details soon. Members will need to sign up in January.
- Retreat costs will be a little different this time. There will be a retreat fee, plus members will make room choices and reservations directory with the Inn. Members may choose to stay over on Wednesday, May 27th to get an early start on Thursday. Hotel costs will be about $85/night.
Hospitality (Mary Ellen and Lesley)
- Lesley is taking over responsibility for Hospitality from Mary Ellen for 2026. Thank you both! They passed around a sign-up sheet for volunteers to provide snacks and beverages for next year.
SHOW AND TELL
Tells:
Rene had an interesting story. She was at our Fall retreat and left for a while to go to her Manchester High School Reunion. She bumped into Tracy, another High School grad, and got talking about quilting. They didn’t know they shared another thing in common: membership in our Guild! Seems like they have missed each other at our meetings!
Quilts:
- Carol showed us a quilt she made for our Comfort Closet.
- Robin showed us a wall-hanging she made in a Ricky Tims Locomotion online class that focused on curved piecing.
- Chelse showed us her oldest WIP, finally finished, a Swoon quilt.
- Marie and Susie showed us some projects they have been working on. A few bags, and two colorful children’s Hidden Pictures minky panel quilts by Block Party Quilts.
- Ophelia showed us three quilts. First, a fun Ghosts quilt, pattern by Michelle C from her new book.
- Then, a quilt made with Marcia Derse fabric and her Floats pattern.
- Last, an Interwoven quit, pattern by Doug Leko from his Stashtastic 2 book.
- Ase showed us two miniature quilts.
- Patty K showed us her Annabelle quilt, pattern by Cotton and Joy, which she gave to Carol for our Comfort Closet.
- Laurie M showed us the one quilt she made this year. She’s been busy with other sewing projects! It was her Lydia quilt, pattern by Kitchen Table Quilting.
- Gail showed us two quilts. First a piece made in Tara Faughnan Block Studies program.
- Then an Improv Rhythms wall hanging, a challenge quilt from Quilt Improv Studio.
- Lesley showed us two quilts she was donating to our Comfort Closet, then casually mentioned she had 33 other quilts in her car to give to Carol! Our donation totals for 2025 are going up a lot!

Holiday Party 2025
Please note that when we were adding links to raffle prizes and quilt patterns and books, we tried to link them directly to the pattern or book designers’ webpages, but sometimes we couldn’t find the original sources and put links to popular online commerce sites that carry these products. We are not endorsing any particular commerce sites – most items can be found from multiple sources.
Please post quilts, questions, and any other quilt-related information on our private member FaceBook group. To join, click here.
