NHMQG November Meeting Highlights
· Joann Fabrics store at the Nashua Mall was the site of our November 10 meeting.
· We welcomed a guest, Makenzie Bilodeau, and a new member, Karen Kenney.
· President Jennifer Marks mentioned elections for the new board will be on-line with volunteers running for each office and write-ins welcome. Committee chairpersons volunteering to stay on include Carol DiPirro, Hospitality… Lesley Ross, Charity… and Lori Breen, Retreats. NHMQG functions through the efforts of volunteers and we thank our current and past board and committee members and encourage everyone to consider how they’d be able to help in the future.
· Donna Kennedy and Patty Magaw were raffle winners and Helen Labadie won the door prize.
· Lesley Ross updated us on charity quilts… this year we’ve donated 30 quilts to the Nashua Children’s Home with at least 4 or 5 more to be given before the end of the year.
· Our Dec Holiday Meeting will be a potluck (signup went around) with a Yankee Swap ($20 limit, quilting related gifts please). This is the deadline for showing WIPs… there will be prizes!!
· Susie Boots demonstrated our Make & Take project, magnetic buttons. These would be cute gifts and are easy to make. (see note below for links to purchase materials for this project)
· Show & Tell was amazing! (can we put a link in here for pictures?)
Upcoming…
Nov. 20… Last sewing bee at Peabody Mills Environmental Center. If you’re not registered and would like to attend it’s $10; everyone is welcome.
Dec. 1… Deadline for mailing postcards for those participating in postcard swap. (see note below)
Dec. 8… NHMQG Meeting at First Church, Nashua, 7PM. Potluck, Yankee Swap, Deadline for WIPs!!
