July 2019 Scrappy Projects

Several months ago a number of us took a bag of scraps at the meeting, promising to return with a finished product.  Several of us were rewarded with quilting goodies for meeting the challenge.

Sarah eeked out a large piece of work from her skinny 1.5 inch strips, using a liberal amount of solid orange pink fabric.

Suzie made a basket, the green was the scrap in the bag.  Nice handles!

Gail showed off a basket made with 2 inch squares got a very square shape by topstitching.

Patti didn't know the provenance of her scraps, but they were strips that she put together improvisationally.  This will be a very colorful pillow cover for her dog.

Marie took Suzie's scraps, cut them into 5 inch squares, and made half square triangles, inserting a skinny piece of fabric in the seam line.

Michelle had Chelsea's scraps and did a pile of granny squares, and showed us a variety of them.  She is aiming for 1200 2.5 inch squares to complete a full size quilt.

Kathy used Sarah's scraps, made fabric, and made a nice pouch with the leftover scraps inside.

Donna did this clam bag with Sarah's scraps.
