February 2018 Show & Tell

Chelsea finished up the quilt using Trish's donated fabric.  This quilt will go to a student at her school going through hard times.

This is a second quilt that Chelsea has completed that will be going to a student at her school.

This is the back of Chelsea's quilt above.

Michelle finished up her two Las Vegas charity quilts.  Love the design of this one!

This is the second quilt with some great colors and illusions!

Sarah is showing her finished baby quilt -- great design and color!

This is the back of her baby quilt.

Sarah also showed a quilt top based on Quilting Jetgirl's Wayward Transparency pattern, with four different color selections.  Very nice!

Briana made a zip pouch out of some Charley Harper fabric.

Olivia told us about a trip she and Marie took to Washington DC for long-arm quilting workshops.

Olivia set her blocks in this quilt based on one of the sets in the 2018 Quilters Planner.  She then used digital settings to do the quilting.

The back shows a bit better the quilting Olivia did.

Olivia talked about the two classes she took, including a very intense workshop by Bethanne Nemesh, author of Quilted Textures from A to Zen.

Leslie is a new member previous in Cincinnati OH.  She showed us several charity quilts she has done and talked about the charity quilt process in the Cincinnati guild.  We are very glad to have her with us, and she has volunteered to be a coordinator of our charity quilt activities.

Leslie showed this quilt which is the same pattern as the prior one but with different fabric.

This is the third charity quilt that Leslie showed us.

Gail showed us her Juggle-in-Pink quilt that has been in development over 10 years to be gifted to her son.  The fabric was collected to highlight juggling, cats, travel to Paris, cows, music and his Chinese sister.

Eileen showed us her square dance quilt.

This is the back of Eileen's square dance quilt.

Allison showed us her final quilt based on the Elizabeth Hartman Wonky Cross design.  This was not her favorite project (she kept enlarging it to make it better)!

Susie showed us a finish of her daughter's T-shirt quilt, also some time in the making.

Another finish for Susie -- very nice colors and on-point setting!

Susie has been very busy -- this is the third quilt she showed.

Last, but not least, this is Susie's 4th quilt!!

René has also been very busy finishing up quilts.  This is a very colorful one from a kit she had.

For this quilt, René changed up the pattern in a kit she had.

Another one!  René 's design and colors are very nice.

Number four!  Pattern from Pattie with  René's favorite colors.

René's gorgeous diamonds quilt, with subtle low volume triangles surrounding the large diamonds.

Felice showed us her very lovely and modern quilt.
