January 2023 Meeting and Raffles

September 2022 Meeting

September's Quilt Guild meeting is back at it's normal location at the church in Nashua, 7 pm on September 8th at First Church of Nashua, 1 Concord St., Nashua NH.

We would like to remind everyone to bring their completed quilt tops from The Great Scrap Exchange. It does not have to be quilted, just bring the top. 

We will be having a battle of irons at the meeting. Come check out your favorite!

I was also given some fabric to share with the guild so there will be plenty of that 😍

July 2022 Meeting

Good Morning everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. July 4^th came and went so fast for me! So here I am last minute getting this out. Just want to touch base on a few things. 

The Block exchange- I hope everyone is enjoying it pushing themselves a little. Gets a little harder the more blocks you have (trying to keep them all cohesive). If anyone gets stuck or just needs a little push, feel free to reach out to anyone of us. If you are not able to get to the meeting please make sure you hand them off to someone who will be attending. 

Holidays in JULY-

The mug rug swap- We will be doing a mug rug swap at Thursdays meeting. We asked that you create 2 of them. One for the swap and one for a charity. This is not mandatory, only if you would like to participate. 

We would also like you to bring your favorite notion to share. We have a lot of new members that might like to know what makes your sewing easier. 

Don't forget to be working on your strips we exchanged in May. 

At the last meeting we talked about a postcard exchange with Capital District MQG. (CDMQG) They have decided to move it to Sept. with the finished postcard sent in Dec. Summer is just to busy for most people. We will be sending a clip board around to get names and addresses of people that would like to participate. They have about 20 members that want to swap.

June Meeting and Raffle

Our  June meeting will be at 7 pm on Thursday June 9, in the basement meeting area of the First Church of Nashua at 1 Concord Street, Nashua NH.   There is parking behind the building.  We look forward to see everyone.

The raffle for this month is now closed, tickets for the raffle will be sold at the door at the meeting on June 9th.

June meeting is less than a week away. We have some great raffles this month (it was so tempting to keep these and get new ones for the guild!!!) They are rather awesome. 

1st up we have 20 Sugar fat quarters by Ruby Star Society’s, Sarah Watts. If you like solids these are for you. They have the tiniest bit of speckle to them. Perfect blending fabrics

 

 

 

Secondly we have (my personal favorite) Elizabeth Hartman’s Cats in Space quilt kit. The kit comes with 20 pieces of fabric (almost 7 yards), pattern, and binding fabric!! The background fabric is Essex Speckle Linen and it is  beautiful!

 

Our  April meeting will be at 10 am on Saturday April 16 at Quilted Threads in Henniker.  We look forward to seeing everyone.
