Finished Margurite's Charity Quilt


Marguerite's Charity Quilt

** Jessie kindly volunteered to quilt the top of this charity quilt.

** Unbeknownst to the charity committee the theme for the Marguerite's event is "Fire and Ice".  How fitting!!

Save the date now for Fire & Ice, our   annual fall fundraiser on Friday, October 16, 2015  at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua. The excitement begins at 6 pm.

A sizzling night to benefit a very cool cause. Whether you sip a three-alarm chili martini or enjoy a flaming dessert, the menu for this fabulous evening promises to take your palate on an adventure with a variety of foods that range from spicy to icy!

Marguerite's Place Charity Quilt


**The NHMQG has been busy making charity quilts for several organizations. The charity coordinators put together a sew-in at Quilting A Way in Amherst. Bette was gracious enough to let us use her shop to put the top together. Thank you Bette!

New location = fun time!

The NHMQG has a new location. We celebrated with an ice cream social and lots of show and tell.  

* Bridges blocks were turned in -

Now to put it all together, I wonder what color the missing one will be??

* We are in need of new members for the board and charity committees. The current board has held their positions for 2 years and would like to step down to allow for new talent. If anyone is interested in any of the positions please feel free to contact anyone of them.

Shop Hopping

The NHMQG is planning a shop hop for this Saturday September 19th!  Teams have been picked and strategies are in the beginning stages. The fun has already started. If  you missed any of the details here is the run down.

THE DETAILS ... 

The Shops:
1. Gather Here
2. Grey's Fabric
3. Button Box
4. Quilters Way

Roles:
- DRIVER: you're in charge of driving the crew to all the destinations
- NAVIGATOR: you're in charge of getting everyone to the destination safely
- #TECHIE: you're in charge of finding food stops, pictures, and social media posting
- SCORE KEEPER: you're in charge of keeping tallying people items

Start Point: Kohl's parking lot off Exit 6 in Nashua at 8:15 a.m.

End Point: Patty's House at 6 p.m. in Nashua (Bonus points to those who arrive on time!). We will be serving beverages and pizza as we find the final scores!

The Score: The Score Keeper is in charge of keeping track of how many of each item each on the scavenger hunt list each team has purchased.  There will be a random multiplier applied at the end, so the final score for each item is undetermined.

Bridges Charity Quilt Progress

Woot! Woot!
The Charity Committee has chosen "Kicken' Stash" by Eva Paige, as their patten for the Bridges Charity quilt.

They have been busy cutting the many different cotton couture colors donated by Michael Miller.




Individual packets where given out to members in the guild for those that wanted to sew a block together. I received gray tones. 


Aren't they nice? I can't wait to see all the finished blocks!
