July 20 Meeting and Raffle

 We are planning to have our Tuesday July 20 meeting at Greeley Park, starting at 6pm.  If the weather is looking uncooperative, we will let everyone know on the blog and with an email by Noon, and provide Zoom meeting info.  More specific information about our meeting will be provided via email.  Our gathering will be casual and focus renewing acquaintances and relationships, and we hope folks can bring plenty of show and tell items, including those previously displayed on a Zoom meeting.  

Even though we hope to meet in person, we are going to do the raffle with the on-line Paypal purchase, which will enable those who cannot attend our meeting to participate!   The Paypal button is below along with the three terrific items we are offering.

Marge Tucker Machine Quilting Workshops

 

The NHMQG is very excited to be able to offer its members a FREE WORKSHOP! On Saturday, August 28th or Sunday, August 29th, please join other members for a fact filled, hands on workshop on MODERN QUILTING WITH YOUR WALKING FOOT by award-winning quilter, MARGE TUCKER.

 

Marge is an international award-winning quilt artist.  The first quilt she made, over twenty-five years ago, was for friends expecting their first child. Marge received “Best Machine Quilting” at QuiltCon 2019 as well as “Best Sewing Machine Workmanship Award – Modern” at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in 2019 as well as numerous other awards for her quilts.

The workshop includes a presentation of some of Marge's amazing work, instructions and demo of her techniques, time to try those techniques on your own machine, and the sharing of your work - and the work of other attendees.

DETAILS:

When: Saturday, August 28th, 2021 OR Sunday, August 29th, 2021

Time: 10:00am - 2:30pm (1/2 hour break for lunch)

Where: The workshop is a zoom presentation. You should plan to have a good working space with your sewing machine set up for the class. Instructions on machine set-up will be sent out prior to the workshop.

Who: This workshop is for members of the NH Modern Quilt Guild, and is being offered free of charge!

We are challenging members to make a lap size Economy Block quilt to donate to Bridges or the Nashua Childrens' Home.
